Humidification is necessary during the season of the heating system, not only to plants, but also to people. Hot dry air needs a wise and gentle “adjustment” in order not to have a detrimental effect on the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract and create comfortable conditions for the development of all plants. With the exception of rare pets, almost all indoor crops prefer at least average humidity and feel very uncomfortable in dry conditions. The problem with insufficient humidity and the need for its compensation can be solved both with special devices and with the arrangement of home humidifiers. The most decorative appearance of the latter is indoor fountains.

The advantages of using fountain installations

Small fountain installations, which today are called simply room fountains, are considered to be interior decor. Miniature or large enough, they are a great accessory that allows you to enjoy the energy of the water element at home.

Such devices are actually an amazing symbiosis of a water body in miniature and works of art, because the base of the fountain, playing with the pumping unit and various nozzles, is actually a type of room sculpture. This is a beautiful view of the large decor, radically changing the atmosphere in the room.

The advantages of indoor fountains are not limited to revealing the beauty of moving water. These are excellent devices for creating a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere, relaxation and high-quality humidification. In the process of constant movement of water, part of the moisture evaporates efficiently, imperceptibly, very softly, but invariably qualitatively increasing the air humidity.

Compared to other artisanal humidifiers, including containers with water or wet pebbles and moss, fountains much more effectively regulate the level of air humidity.

As a humidifier, you can use any indoor fountain, and the smallest and largest models. Just put them next to a group of indoor plants - and they will replace any moisturizer. It is appropriate to use them as a humidifier in living rooms and those rooms where aesthetics play an important role, in the interior of which you do not want to introduce unnecessary functional details, where fountains can be admired.

Fountains perform their functions regardless of how exactly and with what speed the water moves according to the mechanism, whether it washes peculiar spheres or passes through several containers flowing in funny cascades. They equally effectively allow the saturation of air with moisture due to natural evaporation.

Criteria for choosing a room humidifier fountain

You need to choose room fountains according to your capabilities, because such installations are far from cheap, as well as for the style of the interior and focusing solely on the aesthetic appeal of each model.

Classical forms, Art Nouveau designs, laconic fountains in the form of a bowl with spheres immersed in them, copies of Greek statues, figurines of funny fairy-tale characters or images of thematic scenes - the choice is truly stunning, and the variety of indoor fountains can satisfy any request.

But the assortment of nozzles and the nature of the resulting jets for indoor installations is of course inferior to large park and garden fountains. All indoor fountains work gently, water moves smoothly, slowly, does not create splashes and is not thrown to a considerable height.

These wonderful installations are sold both in stores specializing in indoor plants and accessories for them, and in garden centers, although the widest range of fountains is presented in souvenir shops.

Features of indoor fountains

Room fountains operate on distilled water, which should not be replaced with another type of liquid (ordinary water, even softened with lemon juice or vinegar, can ruin the entire structure with lime deposits, damage the mechanism and complicate the maintenance of the fountain at times). Only distilled water will not affect the attractiveness of the fountain and will not allow bacteria and algae to multiply.

The operation of indoor fountains is surprisingly simple. They are cleaned every two to three months, carefully getting rid of all deposits and deposits. But the main guarantee of longevity and beauty of the fountain is its constant filling. Water in the plants actively evaporates, and it must be constantly updated, not forgetting to top up the water daily and preventing the pump from running idle.
