Spring is a troublesome period for any gardener, because the crop depends on the preparation of the soil for planting. Therefore, as soon as the snow falls, the time comes to take care of the beds. And the task here is not just to remove winter mulch, accelerating the heating of the soil, but to take care of the fertility of the earth. Proper nutrition will allow plants to reach their full potential, make them more resistant to adverse weather factors, diseases and pests.
In this article, we will consider the methods of spring preparation of beds that have been tested over the years, as well as new environmental approaches that can not only improve the condition of the soil, but also simplify the maintenance of the garden and increase the yield.

We preserve the nature given to us

One of the important rules of a high yield is the timeliness of the work performed. Spring preparation of the beds is no exception. It is necessary to start it as soon as the soil acquires physical ripeness. In other words, it will dry out so much that it will be possible to work with it, but it will not lose such moisture important for plants.

Determining the ripeness of the soil is quite easy:

• it will stop sticking to the sole of the shoe;
• footprint on the soil - insignificant, with a depression of up to 1 cm;
• soil from a depth of 5 cm will not crumble if you compress it into a fist;
• a lump of it, thrown from a height of 1.5 meters, will fall apart into pieces evenly.

Digging of beds was made in the fall, now the land is in a state of physical ripeness. Now you need to take the rake and walk along its surface in several directions, loosening the top layer. Such loosening will ensure the retention of soil moisture, and at the same time will level the surface of the beds, preparing them for planting the main crops. This, in turn, significantly affects the emergence of friendly shoots.

If it is planned to place late-sown vegetables on the cultivated area, surface cultivation before sowing must be repeated. In this case, weeds are trimmed at the same time, working with a Fokin chopper or plane cutter, then the rake is leveled. The depth of such surface tillage should correspond to the depth of seed placement, so that when sowing the seed falls on a compacted bed.

We restore the soil resource

In addition to moisture, you need to think about soil fertility. It is determined by the content of humus - a stock of nutrients for plant life. Organic matter and beneficial soil microorganisms, bacteria, worms and other living things participate in the formation of humus.

That is why, to maintain the soil in a healthy state, it is recommended to introduce organic fertilizers. And with them, use biological products containing beneficial microorganisms that stimulate the mineralization of soil organics with the formation of substances available for plant nutrition.

One of such biological products is Ekomik Urozhayny. Its regular use allows not only to “revive”, but also to restore the fertility of the soil, even if it is contaminated. And use during the season makes an indispensable product in the practice of organic farming.

Due to its composition, including aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, biologically active substances, a complex of enzymes and nutrients, Ekomik Urozhayny effectively promotes the breakdown of complex organics, provides plants not only with accessible forms of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus, but also with other elements necessary for their vital functions nutrition. As a result, crop maintenance is simplified, they become more resistant to stress, less affected by diseases and give a higher, environmentally friendly crop.
During the spring preparation of the beds, the working solution of the biological product (100 ml per 10 l of water) is introduced by irrigation on the surface of the beds with the calculation of 3 l per 1 sq. m. Immediately after loosening the soil or 7 days before planting.

We approach wisely

It happens that the soil on the site is not favorable enough for growing vegetable crops (clay, sand, lime). In this case, there are two ways - a long refinement, based on its type, or the creation of high beds. The second option allows already in the first season to receive a reward for the labor invested.
Such a bed is prepared in advance, in the fall, or is equipped in the spring. Consists of: a frame laid at the bottom of organic matter - last year's foliage, branches, mowed weeds, and a layer of soil covering it.

When decomposing, organic matter releases heat, therefore, it warms up the soil laid on top and feeds the crops planted on the garden. To accelerate the fermentation processes, it is recommended to process organic inclusions of the nutrient pad with biological products. In subsequent years, processing can be repeated on the surface of the beds after spring digging or loosening.

Catch up

If the beds were not prepared in the fall - there was no time for digging, it was not possible to make manure - all these preparatory work must be done in the spring, as soon as the soil enters a state of physical ripeness. With a normal digging (loosening of heavy soil), it is not necessary to wrap a layer of earth, but if organic matter is introduced, it is necessary. After all, if you do not close the manure into the soil (to a depth of 25-30 cm), valuable nitrogen for the plants will evaporate from it.

The rate of application of manure in the spring, as in autumn, is 4-6 kg per square meter. However, it can be applied only for crops of medium and late sowing. And in order to accelerate the processes of decomposition of organics, you can use the "Ekomik Urozhaynom".

We use siderates as soil improvers

Another way to increase soil fertility is early spring planting of green manure. It can be mustard, Pancake week radish, lupine, vetch, rye - that grows quickly, begins to grow, as soon as the temperature rises above 0 ° C and is not afraid of spring temperature jumps.

In addition to the fact that green manure enriches and cleans the soil, they can also be used as a heater for plants, planting seedlings directly in rows weighed in continuous sowing. Like mulch, tearing and laying around the main culture. And, of course, as a green fertilizer, planting vegetative mass in the soil two weeks before sowing / planting the main crops. And here you can also apply "Ekomik Harvest."

Output

With prolonged use of the soil, the soil is not just depleted - its microbiological composition is inhibited. That is why spring processing of beds should be gentle (deep digging is best done in the fall) and be based on techniques that are able to preserve and increase its fertility. Include mainly loosening, enrichment with organic matter and beneficial microorganisms. And our assistant in this matter are modern biotechnologies.

A remarkable feature of biological products is that you can use them all year round, both in the production of your own organic fertilizers and simply enriching the beds prepared for planting with useful microflora. And get an environmentally friendly crop!

Have a good season!
